As Luca, Ana and myself roared with laughter while watching the elimination portion of 'a shot at love with Tila Tequila (episode 5) we could barely resist peeing our pants at the site of 'Amanda' almost instantaneously vomit when Tila called her name. I tell you the footage is priceless. Look it up on YouTube... just make sure you're prepared to spit whatever you may be drinking out through your nose when you burst into a fit of laughter...
We started watching a clip of it after discussing my mother's apprehension at us naming the baby Teala. She said we simply could not name our daughter after a 'bisexual' who had a disgraceful reality TV show. Well you see to us over here on this side of the Atlantic, we have no idea who she is... or didn't until we saw the clip last night. Now we're all hooked. I think it would be way more fun to tell her we named her after a bisexual glamour model and American reality show participant rather than after a 'relaxing tea' (the name's meaning in Spanish). Much more exciting than naming her after a distant auntie or something like that! The verdict is still out!
After escaping the giggle-fest at the office Alfredo came to collect me to walk me home. He was then gripped by the urge to indulge in a traditional Spanish winter treat: 'chocolate con churros'

Churros! Which are dipped into a steaming hot mug of hot chocolate with the same consistency as custard.
We made it to the little run down cafe that serves them (there aren't so many here in Barcelona as they are more native to Madrid). We skipped out of the shop only to be met by the most horrific accident. It's too upsetting to write about and I really don't want to re-live it. But it involved a dog, a car a collision and at least a couple blocks. I don't think I'll ever get the sound out of my head. I was absolutely hysterical to say the least. I stood there clutching Fredu with my head in his jacket sobbing out of the sheer shock of the whole thing. And to think that just an hour before hand I was in a fit of giggle in the office. One extreme to the other. I think I will forever correlate churros with this incident... perhaps it's a good thing as they are indeed devilishly good. I did manage to sleep last night which was a concern as I was really effected by the incident... which coincidently happened within 500m from where that guy groped me the other day.... I swear I'm beginning to think that there is some sort of curse with me and that area. The strange thing is that there should be nothing extraordinary about it... bad karma? who knows... I'll be walking home the long way around from now on. I don't know if I can take much more!

Santa Caterina Market... the scene of much of my recent traumas... shame really as it's so beautiful.
